This paper present results of a bottom‐up emissions inventory, an analysis of source‐receptor relationships for PM10 and PM2.5 for residential and industrial areas in the region, and implications of sector based interventions on the air pollution control policy, for the city of Delhi. The study domain covers Delhi and its satellite cities – Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad, between 76.85°E to 77.65°E longitude and 28.2°N to 29.0°N latitude. Also in the figure are the two ring roads, main highways, locations of brick kilns (mostly located north and east of the city limits), power plants, and some points of interest.
