The CBI, which is investigating a case against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family members, is said to have procured transcripts of debates on illegal mining in the Legislative Council during July 2010.
According to sources, the investigative agency wanted the transcripts of the replies made by Yeddyurappa on the steps taken by his government to curb illegal mining. The move, it is learnt, is part of the investigative agency’s efforts to check the veracity of the statements made by Yeddyurappa before it, earlier this month.
