Climate resilient and sustainable urban development
The objective of this publication is to highlight the global and regional trends in urban development, identify key issues, projected risks, impacts and opportunities in the light of climate change through case study examples from cities in India and throughout the world. The six chapters include the following: introduction; integrated urban planning processes for resilience and low carbon development; disaster risk reduction and adaptation; urban services and resilience; green buildings: the policy perspective; and mitigating the emissions from the urban transport sector.
