Question raised in Rajya Sabha on air pollution from particulate matter, 23/07/2015. An international study released recently has claimed that ‘Foul air killing up to 80 Delhites a day in Delhi. The numbers of premature deaths given in the study are based on the constructive estimates and extrapolations of data. As such the study is not based on the actual data. The air pollution particularly the respirable particulate matter is one of the several factors responsible for morbidity and premature deaths.
