Question raised in Lok Sabha on Norms for Power Plants, 21/03/2017. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has notified revised Standards for Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) including plants under construction vide S.O.3305 (E) dated 07/12/2015. The standard in respect of Particulate Matter has been made more stringent and standards with respect to SOx and NOx have been incorporated in the notified standards.
