Report of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) dated September 14, 2020. The matter deals with a temporary bridge constructed by M/s DSP Associates, Sonipat for the purpose of mining activities in violation of conditions of environment clearance.

M/s DSP Associates, village Tikola, Murthal, Sonepat was issued Letter of Intent by the Mining and Geology Department, Haryana. The unit had obtained Environment Clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for mining of sand from mines and quarries of 'Tikola sand unit'.

During inspection of the sand mining unit at village Tikola by the inspection team, it was noticed that the mining operation was presently lying closed due to rainy season and no mining activity was being carried out at site presently. That all the river bed area was covered with water flowing in river Yamuna and no separate pathways/bundhs had been found at site which could lead to obstruction of natural flow of river Yamuna. The unit had constructed a separate road for transportation of minerals and was not using embankment of the river constructed by the Irrigation Department.
