MGNREGA implementation: a cross-state comparison
The objective of this report is to account for variations in the success of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Act (MGNREGA) in different states across India. It combines a quantitative analysis with qualitative data obtained from over 70 interviews with government officials, academics, journalists, NGOs, international governmental organizations and MGNREGA workers in New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh (UP).
