Report raises doubts over feasibility

Power Projects: New policy prohibits shifting of dam site

Shimla: The hydropower developers will not be able to shift the sites of dam and power house as per the new project allotment policy, under which boundaries will be marked on the ground. They will be required to provide more free power to the government as royalty in case the capacity of the project is enhanced beyond 20 per cent after the preparation of detailed project report.

Narmada command area set to double

Drip, sprinkler tech will help irrigate 35 lakh ha: Vyas

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government’s spokesperson Jay Narayan Vyas on Wednesday declared that with sprinkler and drip irrigation added, the total command area available for irrigation under the Narmada project would go up by a whopping 15 lakh hectares (ha).

Bhutan for boosting ties with Assam

Bhutan Consul General in Kolkata, Dasho Tsering Wangda has met Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi at the latter's official residence and discussed issues of mutual interests.

Micro-irrigation sector bullish on higher govt funding
