Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of E R Kumar & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 20/01/2022.
The matter was related to urban homeless in India.
The SC directed the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal to file status report on the winter plan and temporary measures which have been initiated for the urban homeless as well as for the construction of temporary shelters and rescue teams.
