Parliamentary body slams food processing policy

The government’s policy with regards to the food processing industry has come under severe criticism from the parliamentary standing committee on agriculture. The committee, in its report tabled in Parliament today, called for “serious introspection” to review the ex-isting policy framework and recomme-nded immediate drafting of a new nat-ional long-term food processing policy.

Soon, stricter norms for energy drinks

New Delhi: Soon, there will be strict standards for energy drinks like Red Bull, which are fast catching the fancy of youth for fighting fatigue — and getting a ‘high’.
