2008, a bumper year for farming community

Cotton farmers relent, call off stir

After prolonged negotiations, the protesting farmers reached an agreement with officials and then called off their rail roko stir at around 11 pm today. Besides elderly protesters, a number of young children were also seen in the agitation along with their family members.
